About Treasured Adoptions Foundation
Hello!
Thank you for your interest in the Treasured Adoptions Foundation. Our goals are simple: We want to ENCOURAGE those who are considering adoption, STAND BESIDE those who are in the process of adopting, and to CELEBRATE with those who have adopted!
Our mission statement is as follows:
We believe that children are a Treasure, and that every child deserves a family, and the opportunity to claim
their rightful place in the Kingdom of Heaven. God's Word makes is clear that He wants us to care for the orphans
of this world. Never before has their been a greater need for God's people to step up, and provide respite/foster care and
adoptive families for these Treasures. Treasured Adoption Foundation is committed to following Christ's command,
by advocating for orphans, and by encouraging Christians to open their hearts and their homes to His children.
The need for adoptive families is great. There are many of you who have felt the call to adopt, but you
have no idea how to begin. We want to help you, through workshops, informational meetings, and through our mentoring program. There are many of you who are in the process of adopting, and you could
benefit from the love, support, and encouragement of those who have been there. We want to cheer you on!
There are many of you who have adopted, who would like to share how adoption has enriched and blessed your lives. Perhaps you could join us as a mentor, or just to share your story! And then, of course, there
are many children, waiting to find their forever families, that need our prayers. We are not an adoption agency, but we do advocate for waiting children. Our goal is that TREASURES
would be an accumulation of these peoples. Would you like to join us? We would LOVE to have you join our family!
We currently meet the 3rd Thursday of each month, 5:30pm at:
The First Church of the Nazarene
1177 Hickory Point Rd.
Decatur, IL.
Our first ever Treasured Adoptions Foundation Workshop/Fair is tentatively scheduled for November 14, 2009. We are seeking families to join us in beginning this exciting ministry, and in preparing for our first workshop. Please call or email if you would like more information, or if you have suggestions or ideas.
